Reading Jewellers Crafting Art Deco-Inspired Jewellery For A Cause


Jacobs the Jewellers will mark its 70th year anniversary in 2018. And, throughout our anniversary, a series of events and initiatives are planned to be launched in the Reading community.
One of our ambitious goals is to raise £70,000 for the Royal Berkshire Hospital Charity. Our in-house designers and goldsmiths will be designing and making 7 unique jewellery pieces.

Amongst that will be crafted by the jewellers is a stunning design inspired by of Art Deco jewellery. This design of jewellery embodies the glamour and decadence of the roaring 20s. Its twinkling beauty has a timeless characteristic with bold delineated geometric shapes and stunning colours. Thus, its design will be a real showstopper.

Seventy For Seventy: Reading Jewellery Shop Plans 70th Year In Style


Reading’s independent jewellery retailer, Jacobs the Jewellers, sets an ambitious, imaginative & innovative programme for its 70 years anniversary celebration in 2018.
Jacobs the Jewellers’ “Seventy for Seventy” programme is to raise £70,000 for the Royal Berkshire Hospital Charity, specifically the Berkshire Cancer Centre. Throughout the anniversary year, a series of events and initiatives are planned to raise funds for the National Health Service (NHS) trust.

This award-winning jewellery shop in Reading, Berkshire starts with a charity skydive in Spring. A team of Jacobs’s Jumpers will join on this event. In the late Summer, a golf day will be held, space for runners in the Reading Half Marathon and for its programme finale, there will be a gala dinner & party in Autumn.

So, for those who are interested to join, you can freely contact Jacobs. Initiatives running in parallel include every 2018 purchase completed being entered into a prize draw to win a 0.70ct diamond 18ct white gold pendant, worth over £4,000.

Furthermore, there are special 70th-anniversary luxury raffle tickets available to be bought in the store to win prizes, drawn each quarter. The prizes will be a unique mix of Jacobs own watch, jewellery and gift partners, as well as local businesses. All proceeds will go to the Royal Berkshire Hospital Charity’s Cancer centre to purchase cutting-edge equipment for Surface Guided Radiotherapy treatment.
